Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS)
The Intervention and Referral Services Committee (I &a= mp; RS) is composed of teachers, members of the Child Study Team, administrator= s, and other professionals. The purp= ose of this committee is to identify students who are experiencing academic or soc= ial and emotional difficulties in school and to develop strategies to help the students succeed. When a stud= ent is referred to the I&RS Committee, this group m= eets with the parent/guardian to discuss the student’s educational program= and to develop a plan of action.
